Curiosity and Connection:

A Performance

Curiosity and Connection: A Performance

. . . is an invitation to remember what makes us curious, to notice what curiosity feels like in the body, and to explore how curiosity might help us engage with each other.

Join us to explore curiosity, meet your neighbors, and share stories. Read more below about our three main questions.

The first version of this interactive performance happened in March 2024, and was performed for audiences in Austin, TX and Smithville, TX. Click HERE to see photos.

  • What makes me curious?

Curiosity and Connection: A Performance invites us to explore: what makes us curious? When can I lean in and what shuts down my curiosity? How do I stay open to curiosity, or why should I?

  • What brings me a sense of awe?

What are small moments of awe that I can find around me regularly? What are “big awe” moments that I cherish? What is the connection between curiosity and awe?

  • How does my curiosity help me connect to others?

How does my curiosity help me stay open? What kinds of questions can I rely on to help me remember how to be curious when faced with difference and discomfort?

“...one of the core functions of art in society: to bring diverse groups of people together into a shared experience, creating empathy and openness to new perspectives of viewing the world”

*Deep Learning in a Disorienting World by Jon F. Wergin

This performance was created by artists and educators who collaborate to build new things together, through CO-ACTION: a shared experience of asking, answering, and making together.
