I am a collaborator, facilitator, performance-maker, and teacher. I use a variety of arts-based tools drawn from applied theatre, theatre in education, and theatre for dialogue.
I am a Co-Founding Director of the Center for Imagining and Performing Justice, and a co-founder of The Performing Justice Project which devises original theatre with young people about gender and racial justice. I co-authored Devising Critically Engaged Theatre with Youth: The Performing Justice Project which was published by Routledge and was honored with the Distinguished Book Award in 2021 by the American Alliance for Theatre and Education.
Previously, I was the Senior Director of School-Based Programs at Creative Action, a creative youth development organization where I used theatre to activate youth and communities around issues relevant to their lives.
Prior to Creative Action, I spent 12 years as the Theatre for Dialogue Specialist with Voices Against Violence at the University of Texas at Austin, where I taught and devised interactive performances with students about consent, interpersonal violence, and healthy relationships.
